Description

We are seeking a Sr. MicroLED Process Integration Engineer to oversee optoelectronic device prototyping and transfer to manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will develop new process flows, collaborate with layout engineers to create designs, and partner with the fabrication team to ensure seamless execution. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other teams including metrology, reliability, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define process flows to fabricate optoelectronic devices. Partner with processing teams and tool owners to develop manufacturable process flows.
  • Identify new device architectures to solve industrywide challenges. Create paths to realize these new devices.
  • Lead creation of device prototypes from end-to-end while overseeing foundry partners.
  • Troubleshoot device faults (e.g., efficacy, reliability, uniformity) and propose DOEs to improve these traits.
  • Design layouts for masks in collaboration with layout engineering teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor processing (e.g. integration engineering, process engineering, or related)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of optoelectronic test data such as electroluminescence, LIV, and EQE measurements.
  • Understanding of semiconductor wafer processing and inline metrology to ensure process control.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to summarize findings into clear, actionable reports for cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally to collaborate with foundry partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant field of study.
  • Proven track record in microLED process integration
  • Understanding of microdisplay design and performance requirements
  • Knowledge of fab operations, process development, statistical process control
  • Experience using mask layout tools (e.g., KLayout, Cadence)
  • Proficiency with data analysis and statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Python, MATLAB).
